Yes, we offer personalized products. Please note that personalized items require 5 to 7 business days for processing before shipment.

Yes, you may cancel any order placed with Backbone within 14 days. The cancellation period begins on the day you, or someone on your behalf, receive your order. To cancel, please contact us via our contact form or email info@backbonestore.com.

The color of your product may appear slightly different in person compared to what you see on our website. This is due to variations in screen display settings. Each device renders colors differently depending on the brand, quality, and calibration. We take great care in our high-quality photography and accurate color descriptions. If you're not satisfied with your product for this reason, you may return it within 14 days of receipt.

Please contact us as soon as possible at info@backbonestore.com if you wish to modify or cancel your order. Once your order has been processed, we regret that we cannot make any changes.

Once your payment is successfully received, you'll receive an order confirmation email from us. This email contains a summary of your order and the expected delivery timeframe. Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a tracking number to monitor your shipment status.

At Backbone, you can pay using the following methods: iDeal, PayPal, Sofort Banking, Belfius Direct Net, Credit Card, Apple Pay, Bancontact, and GiroPay. All information you share with us or our payment provider Mollie during checkout is encrypted and transmitted securely via SSL connection.

Step 1 - Shopping: Browse our online collection and select the product you wish to order. Click the 'Add to Cart' button. You'll see a confirmation in the top left that your item has been added. Review your cart by clicking 'View Cart' or 'Cart'. Click 'Checkout' to proceed with your order.

Step 2 - Ordering: Enter the delivery address where you'd like to receive your order. After providing your billing and delivery addresses, select your preferred payment method. If you shop with us regularly, we recommend creating an account for a faster checkout experience. Finally, agree to our terms and conditions and click 'Place Order'.

Step 3 - Payment: Complete your payment using your chosen method. You'll receive an order confirmation email with all the details of your purchase.

Shipping

We currently ship worldwide to most countries in partnership with DHL, UPS, and PostNL. If you'd like to confirm whether we can ship to a specific country, please contact us via our contact form or email info@backbonestore.com.

We offer complimentary shipping to addresses in the Netherlands for orders over €99.95. Shipping costs to addresses outside the Netherlands are calculated based on PostNL, UPS, or DHL rates.

Your package typically ships within 2 business days of placing your order. For personalized items, this is 5 to 7 business days. Standard delivery usually arrives within 1 to 2 days after shipment. Delivery times may vary depending on your destination.

Yes, once your order has shipped, you'll receive a tracking code to monitor your delivery status.

No, your Backbone order arrives in a luxurious reusable gift box, which is too large for a standard mailbox.

Unfortunately, in-store pickup is not available at this time.

Returns

All items purchased from Backbone may be returned within 14 days, with the exception of personalized items. Please notify us of your return in advance via our contact form or email info@backbonestore.com. Include your invoice number and product details such as description and color in your message.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. For orders within the Netherlands, we provide a prepaid return shipping label. The cost of this label will be deducted from your refund.

Upon receipt and inspection of your return, we process your refund as quickly as possible. You'll receive your refund via your original payment method.

Warranty

All our products are covered by statutory warranty. If you discover a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately. If your claim is valid, we'll provide you with a replacement product. Following our care instructions will help prevent issues not covered by warranty.

Care & Maintenance

With proper care and maintenance, cashmere products will last for years. A Backbone cashmere scarf can bring you joy for a lifetime.

Our recommendation: always air your scarf after wearing. Cashmere is a delicate fiber that requires special care. Lay your product flat to dry and never hang it to prevent stretching and distortion. Store your cashmere folded in a dry, well-ventilated space.

Pilling is a natural occurrence in cashmere and is not a sign of poor quality. Use a cashmere comb or depilling tool to gently remove the small balls of fiber.

No, it's not necessary. You can place an order as a guest.
